Our Journey

What began in 1983 as a humble workshop trading handmade carpets and kilims has evolved into a 1,25,000 sq ft sanctuary for heritage lovers. HANDICRAFT HAVELI was born from the dreams of Anil & Sanjay Khandelwal, who set out to preserve India’s disappearing artisanal traditions with passion and persistence.

Through decades of travel, learning, and collecting, the HAVELI has become a living museum of Indian craftsmanship. From temple sculptures to custom furniture, every piece celebrates the human hand. Today, it stands not just as a showroom, but as a global destination where tradition meets design, and every creation tells a story.

A Visual Feast for Craft Lovers

Stepping into HANDICRAFT HAVELI is like entering a living gallery of India’s finest craftsmanship. Rich textures, intricate carvings, and vivid colors surround you at every turn. From towering marble sculptures to delicate brass icons, each piece is thoughtfully displayed, inviting you to see, feel, and connect with handmade tradition.

The experience goes beyond shopping—it's an artistic immersion. Every corner tells a story, every collection sparks curiosity. Visitors often describe the showroom as “a museum you can take home from.” Whether you’re a collector, designer, or curious traveler, HANDICRAFT HAVELI promises an unforgettable journey through India’s visual and cultural heritage.

The Artisans Behind the Magic

At the heart of HANDICRAFT HAVELI lies its greatest treasure—its artisans. These master craftsmen, many of whom have inherited skills passed down through generations, breathe life into every creation. Whether it’s carving marble, inlaying brass, or knotting silk carpets, their work embodies patience, precision, and pride in heritage.

Each piece is a result of weeks, sometimes months, of meticulous handwork. The Haveli supports over 400 artisans, ensuring fair wages, dignified livelihoods, and the preservation of endangered crafts. By choosing handmade, you support not just art—but the artist, the community, and a legacy that continues to inspire across borders.

From Jaipur to the World

What began near Jal Mahal has now reached every corner of the globe. HANDICRAFT HAVELI’s creations adorn luxury homes, heritage hotels, and cultural institutions—from the UK and Israel to the UAE and USA—carrying the soul of Indian craftsmanship far beyond its origins in Jaipur.

Through bespoke commissions and curated exports, the Haveli serves architects, designers, collectors, and royalty alike. Whether it's a carved sandstone gazebo in England or antique doors in an Indian palace, every piece crafted here is not just exported—it’s embraced as a global heirloom, rooted in India and celebrated worldwide.
